Varmo exists because thick socks stop working the moment you stand still.
We started Varmo after one too many touchline mornings, station platforms and site inductions spent losing feeling in our toes.
From a cold touchline to a finished product
Varmo began in 2023 with a simple observation: insulation only holds the heat your body makes. Stand still in a Yorkshire car park in February and there is very little heat left to hold.
We spent eighteen months working with a footwear engineer to get a heating film thin enough to disappear into a normal shoe — 3.5 mm — while still spreading warmth evenly across the whole footbed rather than one hot spot under the toes.
Today Varmo insoles are worn by dog walkers, ski instructors, site foremen and anyone who refuses to cut the day short because of their feet.
